It has been a while since I have published a blog post, so this post will serve as both an update and conclude with a short list of dental Facebook groups worth joining.

First, the Voices of Dentistry was a few weeks ago in Scottsdale AZ. I was not able to attend the conference this year, but did last year, and hope to in 2019. There is a video recapping the event floating around the Dental Hacks Nation – just search for “Voices of Dentistry Recap”.

I few years ago I build an online archive of dental podcasts at DentalPodcasts.org. Each year we vote for our favorite dental podcasts and last year the four podcasts with the most votes were:

  1. A Tale of Two Hygienists
  2. The Dental Hacks
  3. The Dental Guys
  4. Nifty Thrifty Dentists

Part of the reason that this blog has been neglected over the last half year is because I have dedicated the majority of my free time to developing EmbrasureSpace.com. Embrasure Space is a for-profit website that I own where I help other dentists build, maintain, and sell their own online CE courses.

Lastly, I am in the process of building EmbrasureSpace.org – a website that will be focused on helping young dentists manager their student loans, purchase their first practice, and save for retirement.

What does all this mean for this blog? Not a lot. This website will continue to exist and I will still publish relevant dental-related content here, but the majority of my writings on student loans, practice purchases, and retirement savings will be made available on EmbrasureSpace.org.

The next big publication from this website will be the third edition of “Dentistry in Retrospect”. If you are a new dentist and have not read the first two volumes, you can find them both here:
