Over the last few years, the lines between our professional and personal lives have become blurred. The advent of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social platforms have not only given us convenient means to stay in touch with family, friends, and colleagues; these platforms have also given our customers and employers reliable references for insights into who we are and what we do. Never before, has it been so easy to enchant (or disenchant) the people we do business with.
My view on social media marketing:
Facebook and LinkedIn are tools to advertise yourself and yourself as an extension of your business. We can use these mediums to put a face, a story, and conversation behind our brands. However, it’s important to understand that people are using Facebook to socialize with people they already know, so it may not be the place to try and sell them a product or service.
How many social platforms are available? Too many to count as displayed by the Conversation Prism below.
