Dr. Roger P. Levin’s article, Controlling your Practice’s Image, was published this November in JADA; in it, he offers some hints to prevent and deal with negative feedback on social media.

An important point is that dentists and their staff need to promote an atmosphere that allows patients to easily provide feedback so that a disgruntled patient does not feel that her only available resource is to seek justice on a social platform.
