Content marketing is an effective way to build a list to send an email newsletter to. Email marketing is great because it’s relatively inexpensive compared to other forms of advertising and can be an effective way to keep patients coming back to your dental practice.
When it comes to email newsletters, there are 3 big companies to choose from:
Mailchimp has a free plan that allows a user to have up to 2,000 subscribes or send 12,000 emails a month. This plan should do the trick for most dental offices. However, if your list grows to consist of more than 2,000 subscribers, you should look at all three companies to find the best fit for you.
While I have used Mailchimp for years on many of my websites (DentalNews.us is powered by Mailchimp too), Aweber and Constant Contact offer affordable and reliable solutions to power your email campaigns.
To get started, pick a company, create an account, create a list, and embed the sign up form on your website.
Let’s walk through how to go from start to finish with Mailchimp.
Visit Mailchimp.com and click on “sign up free” in the upper right hand corner.
Once you have created your account, you’ll need to create a list. Click on “lists” in the vertical menu on the left.
Now click on “create new list”.
Name and describe your list.
Click on “sign up forms” and copy the embed code into your website.
That’s it! You’re ready to start building your email marketing list.
